NEW YORK TIMES, July 17, 1869 Page 5 has: "The Kentucky Negroes" "Their State Educational Convention in Louisville" which includes the text of the "...most important..." resolutions that were passed at the convention with various details including: "...time has full come...to understand that old things are done away...all distinctions...all laws founded on slavery or difference of color...that slavery is dead...", plus mention that a letter from Frederick Douglass was read.
Other items include: "The Indians" "The Texas Floods" "Rebellion at Sing Sing" and much more.
