THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, June, 1784  Inside contains a full page article with heading: "Success of a Journey by Way of Experiment in a Balloon" which happened at France (see), and this is followed by another article which begins: "No sooner was the extraordinary discovery of M. Montgolfier known here about a month ago than a similar experiment was attempted..." with details (see).
Also in this issue are: "New  Biographical Anecdotes of the Celebrated Voltaire" "Historical Description of Guy's Hospital" "Handel's Jubilee, History of, Continued" and lengthy: "Summary of Proceedings in the Present Session of Parliament". Near the back are a few brief item under: "Advices From America" (see).
Complete in 80 pages, 5 by 8 inches, with a full title/contents page featuring an engraving of St. John's Gate, tiny pinhole binding holes at the blank spine, very nice condition.
This periodical was the first ever to use the word "magazine" in its title.
