* The great Johnstown flood of 1889
* South Fork Dam collapse

Most of the front page it taken up with reports on the historic Johnstown [Pa.] Flood with first column heads including: "NO END TO IT" "The Story of Johnstown Not Half Told" "The Mind of Man Cannot Conceive the Horrors of It" "The Press Acknowledges Its Own Weakness in Telling It" "Dead Bodies Found in Every Imaginable Attitude" "And Like Ghastly Specters Fright the Souls of Men" "Every Water-Soaked & Roasted Corpse is Closely Scanned" "The Exact Number of Lives Lost Will Never Be Learned" and more (see).
Eight pages, loose at the spine, browned at the margins, should be handled carefully due to fragility.
