THE SPECTATOR, New York, Oct. 5, 1799

* Yellow Fever in New York City

An uncommon single sheet issue, likely due to an epidemic which seemed to have been plaguing New York at the time as several dispatches report recent deaths & burials. Also an article begins: "Will not our cities be annually visited by pestilence?...There is not a spot on the globe where pestilence rages annually. Our cities & country will often escape pestilence. But When?..." with much more.
Single sheet, folio size, never-trimmed margins, nice condition.
