The front page has an entire column taken up with a detailed account headed: "Ben Wright's Massacre" "A Narrative of the Affair by One Who Was Present". This was an affair with the Modoc Indians in 1852 which would eventually lead to a more widespread war between immigrants to Calif. and the Modoc Indians in 1873, known as the Modoc War (see hyperlink).  More on the "Modoc War" on page 3. Also on the front page is: "Hanging A Woman" "The Execution of Susan Eberhart, at Princeton, Ga."
The back page has an interesting report headed: "John Devine" "The Man Who is Condemned to Be Hanged Today" "History of His Life and Deeds" "A remarkable Careen with a Fitting Conclusion". See the hyperlink for more on John Devine, the outlaw.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, minor fold foxing, very nice condition. Folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
