December 13, 1906

INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL NEWS, Scotland, Pennsylvania, Nov. 22, 1906  An in-house newspaper of this school which is a "Member of the Pennsylvania Commission of Soldiers' Orphan Schools", which by definition seemed to focus on those orphaned by military action. The school still exists today, however is being dissolved after 114 years of existence. Given its close proximity to Gettysburg and its connection to the military, It is not surprising that much of the content is reflective on the various battles, memorials, heroes, etc. from the Civil War, each with front page war-related content.
This issue, the front page printed in red & blue ink (black ink inside), is the "Thanksgiving Number".
Four pages, nice condition.
