The back page has a small item: "The Santa Fe Expedition from Fort Smith" reports on their progress, noting in part: "...The report that 800 Indians were embodied awaiting their approach...that a fight had taken place between them, was all poetry." Also: "A Desperado" is a report of a murder (see), and also an illus. $10 reward ad for a runaway slave. The front page has: "The Buffalo Hunt".
