Not only is this a very early issue of the oldest continually published newspaper in the world (began in 1665 & still publishes today) but the bottom of the back page has a brief account of the week's death toll from the Great Plague: "The account of this Weeks Bill runs this. Buried in all 237. Of the Plague 41. Decreased of the Plague 27." (see) The Great Plague was one of the world's great tragedies, with death tolls noted in several issues of this newspaper during that infamous year.
Complete as a single sheet issue, 6 3/4 by 10 3/4 inches, very nice condition.
