The first column of page 2 contains: "By the President Of The United States of America, A PROCLAMATION" declaring war against England, signed in type by the President: James Madison, and dated June 19, 1812. This was the formal document which officially began the War of 1812. Following this is the list of: "Yeas and Nays On The Question of War" concerning the votes in the Senate and in the House of Rep.
Page 3 has: "Naval Engagement" "Battle Expected" "Real American Tars" "Treason!" and more.
