ALBANY EVENING NEWS, New York, June 6, 1928
* Woman aviator Amelia Earhart* About to make history
* Airplane "Friendship" - 1st stage flight
Less than 13 months after Charles Lindbergh's heralded accomplishment, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to achieve the feat. The front page has a nice banner headline: "WIND STILL DELAYS GIRL'S OCEAN HOP" with subheads and photo of her mother and sister. Nice for display here. Weather would delay her from finishing the journey for about 2 weeks.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day. Complete in 28 pages, a little irregular along spine, generally in good condition.
