Over two pages are taken up with: "Barbarities of the Enemy". Also in this issue: "Reasons Against the War!" "Commodore Chauncey"; a report from Richmond concerning the Battle of  the Thames beginning: "Fellow Citizens--Again, 'By Blessing of Providence, WE ARE VICTORIOUS. The complete victory obtained over the combined Indian and British forces, under the command of General Proctor...will give us entire possession of the Canadas..." with more (see). There are other reports in this issue concerning the Battle of the Thames.
Over 3 pages fall under the heading: "Even ts of the War" filled with the latest news from the War of 1812, including a lengthy letter signed by Isaac Chauncey dated at Sackett's Harbor.
Included also is the 8 page "Supplementary" issue
Complete in 16 pages, 6 1/4 by 9 3/4 inches, great condition.

This small size newspaper began in 1811 and was a prime source for national political news of the first half of the19th century. As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
