THE CANADIAN CRESCENT, Texas, November 1, 1888

* Rare Southwestern title

This is a very rare title which existed for less than 17 months. Gregory (Union List of American Newspapers) notes that only one institutions had any issues of this title, the entire inventory of which has been purchased by us. This newspaper is not to be found in any American library or museum.
Canadian, Texas, is a small town known as: "the oasis of the Texas Panhandle" & was once along the route of those traveling to the gold fields of California in 1849.
Eight pages, small folio size, minor spine wear, nice condition.

Note: This issue comes from a small set formerly held by the KS Historical Society - a collection which, according to Gregory's Union List of Newspapers, is the only set known (as of the date of this listing) to exist.
