The back page has amongst its "Advertisements" a reward for a runaway: "...Black Boy about 15 or 16 years of age, in light coloured cloth cloaths, lined with black satin...a scar in his head lately broken...shall have 20 s. reward." (see). This is one of the earliest runaway slave ads to be seen in any newspaper.
Complete as a single sheet newspaper, 6 1/2 by 11 inches, great nice condition. This is this newspaper the oldest continually published English language newspaper in the world, beginning in 1665 and still publishing today.
