THE LONDON GAZETTE, England, March 9, 1684

* Charles II of England death
* James II & Mary of Modena

Most of the front page is taken up by: "A PROCLAMATION - Declaring His Majesties Pleasure touching His Royal Coronation & the Solemnity thereof." which includes in part: "...to celebrate the solemnities of our Royal Coronation, & also the coronation of our dearly beloved Consort the Queen upon the twenty third day of April...next, at or palace of Westminster...have thought fit to give notice and publish our Resolution therein..." with much more (see for portions). this is followed by ten letters from various groups or towns offer thoughts of condolence on the recent death of Charles II, and/or congratulations on the coming coronation (see for a few). These letters carry over to take all of page 2 & part of page 3.
This is the world's oldest, continually published English language newspaper having begun in 1665 and is still printing today.  Four pages, 6 1/2 by 11 1/4 inches, very nice condition.
