All columns on all 4 pages are black-bordered for the death of Abraham Lincoln. Some very nice & relatively dramatic column headlines with the ftpg. having; "Reported Capture of Booth" "FALL OF MOBILE" "REPORTED SURRENDER OF JOHNSTON" "Arrest of Conspirators" and more. Page 2 has column heads & news reports reading like a first report, including: "LATEST NEWS" "MR. LINCOLN DEAD ! " "THE ASSASSIN!" "J. WILKES BOOTH!" "Details and Incidents" and more (see). The first report begins: "The President continues insensible, and is sinking...". Another dispatch begins: "Official Notice of the death of the late President Abraham Lincoln was given by the head of the Departments..." with much more. Another column head: "Particulars of Assassination" with much details (see for portions)
Four page, folio size, never bound nor trimmed, several folds & some wrinkles, a small hole at a fold juncture.
