NEW-YORK TIMES, May 24, 1867

* Richmond, Ray County, Missouri
* Jesse James-Younger Gang bank robbery

The front page has an inconspicuous report headed: "Murder and Robbery by Guerrillas in Missouri" stating in part: "...today fourteen men entered the bank house of Hughes & Wasson, in Richmond, Mo., robbed the money tray, and killed a man named Shaw and two others..." with a bit more (see). As noted in this hyperlink this was one of the earliest robberies by the infamous James Gang.
