THE PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, April 14, 1866  The front page of this issue has a large illustration of: "Antoine Ganther, The Murderer".
The headline is "Arrest of The Murderer" with subheads "He Confesses His Guilt" "A Strange Story About An Accomplice" "The Murderer Before the Mayor" "Intense Excitement Throughout The City" "Conflicting Statements of the Prisoner Regarding His Name, etc" "The Murderer Cool and Collected" "The Latest Particulars". This is a lengthy report which takes the entire front page and concludes on the last.
