THE SALEM OBSERVER, Salem, Massachusetts, June 26, 1847 Page 2 has a report "From the Seat of War". "Santa Anna's letter of resignation has been published since our last, in which he says the effect of his resignation will be to restore harmony among the factions in the capital, and thus prevent the capture of the city by Gen. Scott...". Another report headline reads "The Large Wagon Train attacked by the Guerilla Bands -- Forty Wagons and 200 Miles laden with Subsistence Captured - thirty Americans Killed".

This is complete in four pages measuring approximately 18 x 24 inches with some lite discoloration at a portion of the centerfold area, otherwise is in very good condition.
