* 3 maps in one issue - Rare New Mexico map

The front page is dominated by a huge Civil War map titled: "The Battle Ground in Virginia, With the Line of The Potomac..." with the balance of the front page taken up with related reports including heads such as: "The Late Seat of War in Virginia" "Relics of the Rebels" "The Lines at Manassas" "Fairfax Court House in Union Hands" and more.
This issue includes a "Supplement' issue which has its own masthead & dateline, with its front page containing a map headed: "Pound Gap--The Locality of Gen. Garfield's Victory" with many front page Civil War one column heads (see).
And, page 4 also has a nice Civil War map headed: "The Seat of War in the Far West--Map Exhibiting the Locality of the Late Battle of Valverde, New Mexico; Showing the Line of the Rio Grande, also Santa Fe, Fort Union and the Other Positions now Menaced by the Rebels". There is nice related text as well, headed: "The War In New Mexico". Quite rare to find a Civil War map of the battle in New Mexico.
Complete in 12 pages, very nice condition.
