THE SCHENECTADY DAILY EVENING STAR, New York, April 15, 1865  Both the first and fourth columns have nice heads on the assassination of Abraham Lincoln including: "Assassination Of PRESIDENT LINCOLN!!!" "He Is Shot through The Head" "His Assassin Escapes" "The President Insensible" "All Hope Gone" "Sec. Seward Stabbed" and: "THE PRESIDENT DEAD ! " "THE GREAT CRIME!" "The Murderers Are Known!" "One of them is Wilkes Booth, of Petersburg!" "They Can Hardly Escape!" with various related text.
There is more reporting & more column heads on page 2: "THE GREAT CRIME!" "Traces of the Assassin of President Lincoln!" "Supposed to be John Wilkes Booth!" "He Is On The Way to Canada!" "The Death Bed Scene" with more detail.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed. There is various wear at folds with some small wear holes and fold rubbing. Tears at the margins with some minor margin loss. Foxing is mostly in the top half of the front page.
