NEW YORK TRIBUNE, June 14, 1858 Page 4 has nearly a full column concerning the Mormon War, with much detail (see). Also a shot bit noting: "We have been looking over several newspaper accounts of the gold in Iowa. They amount in substance to this--There is gold in the soil of Iowa, generally in the form of very fine dust...".
Page 6 also has much on the Mormon War, taking half the page & headed: "UTAH" "Official Letter From Gov. Cumming". Among the subheads are: "Salt Lake Abandoned" "An Invitation to the Mormons to Go to Mexico" "Brigham At Provo City".
Eight pages, very nice condition.
