The front page has a letter frm Paris with some American news: "Tis reported at Versailles that the Virginians have renounced Congressional authority, set up the English royal standard, confided several of the principal gentlemen attached to Congress, & petitioned to be under the King's protection. Another account says the loyalists of Virginia have seized the governor...taken up arms in defence of King George, & wrote to General Clinton for pardon, assistance, & protection....Letters from Paris advise that Dr. Franklin was moving heaven & earth to prevent Spain from offering terms of pacification to Great Britain...".
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 1/4 inches, nice condition.
