The front page has an interesting report datelined "Los Angeles, May 15" which is headed: "Vasquez". The report begins: "The excitement which was created in our city yesterday afternoon on the capture of Vasquez has scarcely abated to-day..." with more (see). This is concerning the infamous California bandit Tiburcio Vasquez. Great to have this front page content in a California newspaper!
