DAILY MORNING CHRONICLE, Washington, D.C., Oct. 13, 1871 The ftpg. has column heads concerning the Chicago Fire as well as large fires in Michigan and Pishtego, Wisconsin. Also the top of the ftpg. has: "The Ku Klux War" "Proclamation by hte President" "Combinations & Conspiracies" "The South Carolina Kuklux Ordered to Disperse Within Five DAys & Surrender their Arms, Disguises". The Proclamation is signed in type by the President: U.S. Grant (see).
Four pages, some light staining to the left side, some mounting residue at the spine of the back page and some minor loss here, generally good.
