Unusual headline from World War II...

Item # 607952 ·
HERALD EXPRESS--EXTRA, Los Angeles, May 19, 1942

* The famous Doolittle raid of Japan is revealed
* U.S. Army Air Force B-25B Mitchell bombers
* Best title & headline to be head here

The bold, banner catch phrase headline: "DOOLITTLE DOOD IT" became such a part of popular culture when General Doolittle conducted the bombing of Tokyo in 1942, making for one of the more unusual headlines of the 20th century. A subhead notes: "Details Of Japan Bombing" and the front page headline shows General Jimmy Doolittle (from Los Angeles no less) being presented tkhe Congressional Medal of Honor  by President Roosevelt.
This is the front  leaf only (still nice to frame), some slight toning at the central fold, minor wear at the central fold causes a tiny hole in the photos, generally nice. Included is a photo of Red Skelton holding a copy of this very issue.
