A Tombstone newspaper with an ad for the O.K. Corral...
Item # 607252
November 9, 1886
THE DAILY TOMBSTONE, Pima County, Arizona, Nov. 2 '86 (1886) This may well be the consummate "Old West town" much romanticized in movies and television shows, perhaps most famous for the gunfight at the OK Corral involving Wyatt Earp and the Clanton gang. I would almost suggest that this title is more rare than the Epitaph as we have received far fewer issues of this title during the last 38 years.
To add to the attractiveness of this issue from Tombstone is a back page advertisement for the "O.K. Corral" (see). Various other news and ads of the day.
Complete in 4 pages, and as is the case with virtually all Tombstone newspapers from this period there is some fragility with some chipping at the margins and archival mends at the spine and inside, but none causing loss of readability. A bit of loss at the blank spine and a sliver of a piece at the center of the front leaf, affecting only ads. A news agent's stamp in the masthead. Should be handled carefully.
