A beautiful newspaper with a very large & handsome engraving in the masthead (see). And in great condition. Page 3 has an item from New York noting; "Yesterday arrived a vessel from Halifax...that the fleet with about 6000 refugees, which lately left this city, were safely landed at Cape Roseway after six days passage." Also a report from Wilmington, Delaware, concerning the grammar school there returning to normal after: "...the calamities of war, which have frequently within the last 7 years interrupted the education of youth in this seminary, being now about to cease, & peace, with its concomitant blessings, to take place...The school house will immediately be put into repair for the accommodation of the pupils...as there is no probability that it will be again occupied as a barrack for troops..." (see).
Four pages, great condition.
