* Shays' Rebellion
The Constitutional Convention was in session nearby the day this newspaper was printed. Page 2 has an item on Shays' Rebellion noting: "...received intelligence that Shays was lurking near the easternmost part of that settlement...immediately to collect a sufficient force & apprehend him & his abettors at all events...After search every suspected place...they returned disappointed in the object of their expedition. It appeared that Shays had for some days past been concealed in a log house..." and more, followed by another letter beginning: "Where is Shays? Is he in Canada, Vermont or White Creek?..." with the report carrying over to pg. 3.
