Over half of the front page is taken up with: "Trial Of The Assassins" "Proceedings On Wednesday" "Argument of Mr. Doester in Behalf of Payne--A Declaration from Atzerott", all of which carries over to page 8 as well.
Page 5 has a report of the suicide of the rabid Southerner Edmund Ruffin who advocated separation from the North long before the Civil War. He is credited with firing the first shot at Fort Sumter to begin the Civil War (see hyperlink for much more on him).
Eight pages, never bound nor trimmed (preferred), nice condition.
