CHARLESTON DAILY COURIER, South Carolina, Nov. 21, 1860 From the city where the Civil War would begin in less than 5 months. The top of the front page has: "Lincoln's Position" "Lincoln Determined to be President Of the Whole Country--Proposes to Imitate Jackson--Down on South Carolina & Nullification--A Black Republican Cabinet". Also: "The South in the Past & in the Future".
A large folio newspaper, many margin & fold tears with various chipping at the spine & bottom margin with minor loss, archival mends inside. Must be handled carefully.
