The sports page has a somewhat inconspicuous--yet very significant--report reading: "Lou Gehrig, the Columbia first baseman and pitcher, worked out before the game. As exclusively told in the World on Sunday, he is now a Yank..." (see).

Terrific to have this report in this famous New York newspaper, the home paper to the Yankees and Columbia University where he played. He was also a local New York high school stand-out.
Complete in 32 pages, a few minor binding slits at the spine, nice condition.
