PENNSYLVANIA PACKET & DAILY ADVERTISER, Philadelphia, June 20, 1788  Page 3 includes a letter from Virginia: "I sincerely congratulate you on the fair prospect we have of the proposed plan of government being ratified by this state." which it would do on June 25. Also a letter expressing concerning over the district of Kentucky & their use of the Mississippi. There is a letter from North Carolina: "We are all in an anxious state of suspense awaiting the event of the new constitution...two-thirds of the members were in favour of the measure...3 or 4 designing men of influence in the back counties whose interest it is to promote a state of anarchy, set out violently in opposition to it--terrifying the people with an idea that it was intended to establish a King..." with much more (see). Some great reading.
Four pages, never-trimmed margins, great condition.
