KANSAS CITY DAILY JOURNAL, Missouri, April 17, 1880 The top of page 2 has: "Jesse's Joke" "He Dined in Alton Dining Car Going East Wednesday Night" "And Told the Steward to 'Charge Three More Suppers to the Government' ". The article is an interesting one, beginning: "Jesse is at his old tricks..." (see).
Keep in mind that Jesse James lived in the Kansas City vicinity, so it is noteworthy to have a report concerning him in his hometown newspaper.
Eight pages, a bit irregular at the blank spine, nice condition.
