THE COUNTRY JOURNAL OR THE CRAFTSMAN, London, Dec. 14, 1734  Page 2 has a report: "...one Roberts...in company with a woman dress'd in men's clothes, set upon a pedlar...and after robbing him of six shillings, attempted to cut out his tongue, which they almost effected; and whether, after so much loss of blood he will recover is uncertain..." (see).
Four pages, 10 1/2 by 14 1/2 inches, partial tax stamp on the ftpg., nice condition.
