SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN, New York, Feb. 3, 1849 A very early issue of this scientific journal which began in 1845 and still publishes today. The top of the front page has an illustration of; "The French Sewing Machine" with much text, plus a smaller related photo. Very early for a sewing machine.
Other inventions & scientific improvements inside with some illustrations. Eight pages, nice condition.
