PUCK, New York, Dec. 18, 1889 Puck was America's first successful humor magazine of colorful cartoon caricatures and political satire, publishing from 1871 until 1918. It was also the first to successfully adopt full color lithography printing for a weekly publication. The color prints are much desired for their displayability. This issue has as its political cartoons:
front page: "Three Rotten Timbers Are All That Keep Her Afloat."
double-page centerfold: "Charity--False And True."
back page: "The Day We Are Waiting For."
Complete in 16 pages, tipped-in centerfold, 13 1/4 by 10 1/4 inches, nice condition.
