Page 2 has some interesting reports from the House of Lords concerning the issue of independence for America, including: "...The nation...was at a loss how to reconcile what, on a former day, had been asserted with respect to the Independence of America...when compared with an assertion of one of his colleagues...there appeared an ambiguity...he should request the noble Lord to inform the House whether the treaty signed with the Americans was a full unequivocal & irrevocable acknowledgement of their independence & a formal renunciation of all authority of the Mother Country?..." with more (see). The back page also has a few bits relating to the treaty ending the Revolutionary War.
Four pages, folio size, red tax stamp on pg. 1, nice condition.
