ARIS'S BIRMINGHAM GAZETTE, England, March 6, 1779 The ftpg. has a: "...description of the people of Massachusetts Bay..." (see). Page 2 has reports on political events at Boston, and also a report noting in part: "...have done more by one stroke of policy than the whole army of Great Britain would have been able to accomplish in seven years; they have sown the seeds of dissension among the Bostonians in so successful a manner that the General Assembly disapproves of every step the General Congress has taken, so that all is thrown into confusion...to rivet the chains of slavery on us by taxing us in what manner & as heavy as they please..."
