April 07, 1862

DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Virginia, April 7, 1862 A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederate States of America. Page 2 has much on the European reaction to the Civil War, including: "The American War Question Abroad" "Lincoln's Emancipation Message in England" and more. Also: "Glorious News--the Confederate Army Victorious" which is on the battle of Corinth; much from: "The Confederate Congress" and much more. There is also a lengthy pg. 2 editorial which begins: "It is hoped that the glorious victory at Corinth, one of the two points at which the force of the enemy was aimed...is the fortunate omen of a still more splendid success nearer home..." with much, much more, including the discussion of other war-related topics.
Much of the back page is taken up with a number of Acts of the Confederate Congress, including a lengthy one: "...To Organize the Territory of Arizona".
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, very nice condition.
