The back page has over a full column taken up with an article: "The Mormons And the State of Deseret" which is great reading concerning: "...the state of Deseret, and it claims for admission into the American Union...fallen into the very general error that the Mormons were driven out of the states of Missouri and Illinois by persecution for their religious opinions...These people claim to be a religious sect, guided & directed by an Apostolic Board, Bishops, priests, etc....yet it will be observed that all the officers of their proposed state government are also high in office in the Church..." and so much more.
Four pages, very nice condition.
