Excellent Statue Of Liberty print from 1886....
Item # 602661
October 30, 1886
SUPPLEMENT TO HARPER'S WEEKLY, October 30, 1886 Of the many foldout Supplements in Harper's Weekly, this one--unquestionably, in my opinion--ranks as the very best. It is also one of the most desirable.
This is a four page foldout which measures 44 x 16 inches and shows New York Harbor with a close-up of the newly dedicated Statue Of Liberty recently given to the United States by France. This dramatic foldout print is rarely found bound in within it's issue, and usually when it is, it's in very poor condition due to the constant folding & unfolding. This print is in very nice, clean, frameable condition which was rarely "visited". Also a rarity is Liberty's flame being fully present with a bit of margin above it, as this portion of the print extends beyond the border and is typically trimmed off in the binding process.
A great print celebrating the dedication of the Statue of Liberty.
