* Preparing for a "vigorous resistance"
* Pre Revolutionary War tensions
* Benjamin Franklin

An inside page has an item from Boston headed "America" relates to the Post Office situation, and includes: "...The removal of Dr. Franklin from the Post office has added fresh spirit to the promoters of this salutary plan...and all the Friends of Liberty rejoice that they have now an opportunity of taking up a gentleman discarded by an unrighteous Ministry for the faithful discharge of his duty, & placing him above a dependence on their caprice, in the grateful arms of his applauding Countrymen." (see).
The same page has a letter from Augusta, Georgia, which discusses the Indians (see).
The back page has an historic, yet brief, item noting: "...brings advice that as soon as the Bostonians were informed of the measures agitated in the English Parliament & the intention of Government to blockade their port, a general meeting of the people was held when it was unanimously resolved to have recourse to arms, in defence of their rights & privileges...making every necessary preparation for a vigorous resistance." (see).
Other news of the day, mostly European, with many ads as well. Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, red ink tax stamp inside, very nice condition.
