FLAKE'S DAILY BULLETIN, Galveston, Texas, Aug. 10, 1866 From just over a year after this was a Confederate newspaper as the Confederates surrendered the city on June 2, 1865. A number of the items relate to the cleaning-up of events from the war with some Reconstruction-related items such as: "The Southern Union Convention" "Davis & the Assassination" "Making Treason Odious"
Eight pages, several worm holes in the bottom quadrant of the issue affect all pages & cause minor type loss, otherwise rather good.
