DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Virginia, March 18, 1864  The back page has an interesting editorial which begins: "Recent transactions warrant the declaration that the enemy have ceased to fight as well as they did in the 2nd and 3rd years of the war. They have been defeated in Florida with a force on our part of but one to three. They were routed in Mississippi..." and more. The editorial takes over a full column. Also on the back page: "Additional From The North" "The Finances of the North--Alarming Accumulation of Debt" "Address of the Governor of Louisiana to the People of New Orleans" "An Interview Between General Lee and General McClellan" "Lincoln's Jokes" and other items.
Complete as a single sheet issue with a full banner masthead, untrimmed margins, some minor archival mends at edges, nice condition.
