NEW YORK HERALD, Dec. 27, 1860 From shortly after South Carolina became the first state to secede from the Union. The front page has: "The Revolution" "The Propositions of Messrs. Davis and Toombs" "News from the Republic of South Carolina" "The Secession Feeling In Alabama".
The back page has over a full column on: "The Lincoln Regime - Our Springfield Correspondence" and "The President Elect and the Crisis".
Eight pages,irregular at the spine margin affects just a few words, otherwise nice condition.
