LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, August 26, 1871 A large frontpage illustration "New York City -- Men In Diving Armor Laying A Rip-Rap For The Foundation Of The New Boat Landing". Also an illustration of the boat landing. Almost a halfpage inside "The Ebony Bridal -- The Ball". A fullpage has an illustration of peaches being unloaded at Jersey City for the New York Market, and one of the new Chicago Canal. One-third page "The Railway Bridge Over The Mississippi River". The issue contains other news items, illustrations, and advertisement of the day as well.  

This is complete in 16 pages measuring approximately 11 x 16 inches with several tiny binding holes along the left spine, otherwise is in good condition.
