EDINBURGH EVENING COURANT, Scotland, Aug. 30, 1777 

* Rare Revolutionary War title

Page 2 has numerous reports on the Revolutionary War, a few of them including: "...party of rebel light horse went to the house of Capt. Thomas Cromwell of Shrewsbury in New Jersey...robbed him of all his cattle, sheep...they intended to return & carry off all her household furniture & dispose of her house & plantation at public sale." and: "...went to Chingoteague Bay on the coast of Maryland for the purpose of taking any of the rebel vessels..." and "...his Majesty received the agreeable news of the taking of Ticonderoga by the troops under the command of General Burgoyne..." with more on this (see). Also: "...letter from Paris says, 'Franklin and Deane are both returned to this capital & seem full of business...They are much caressed by all ranks of people..." and other items (see).
Come items on page 3 as well, including: "...that Gen. Burgoyne was absolutely advanced to Albany in full march to second the operations of Gen. Howe against the refractory provinces & that there was not a doubt but they would be able to cut off Washington's army, or make a full conquest of the southern colonies..." with more (see)
Four pages, folio size, period notations in ads & margins, very nice condition.
