* V-2 rocket reaches highest altitude ever 
* 1st objects flung into space  
* It's a Wonderful Life premiere
 

This 60 page newspaper has a two column headline on the front page: "Try to Hurl Rocket Slugs Into Space, Free of Earth". 1st report coverage on the 1st time in history that man-made objects where successfully put out into outer space. This was also the highest a rocket (A-4 missile) has ever reached as well. A historic event for the race to space.

Also a page 40 movie advertisement for "It's a Wonderful Life" which was to make it's premiere two days later. One of the very 1st ads for this famous movie here.
