This title was one of many created by the famed publisher Frank Leslie, this one have a satirical, comic theme. A very significant issue as the front page features a rare political cartoon featuring Abraham Lincoln and his race to the Presidency. It shows Lincoln, Stephen Douglass, and John Breckinridge (3 of the 4 candidates for President) with the caption noting: "Great Swimming Match to Come Off on the fourth of November. Stakes--The White House and $100,000,000 of Patronage." (see photos). A very rare cartoon.
Complete in 16 pages, a small piece from the bottom margin of of the front leaf affects no text, generally nice condition.
