November 16, 1969

THE NEW YORK TIMES, November 16, 1969

* Vietnam anti-war protest
* Washington D.C.
* Largest in U.S. history

The front page has a nice five column headline: "250,000 WAR PROTESTERS STAGE PEACEFUL RALLY IN WASHINGTON; MILITANTS STIR CLASHES LATER"  with subheads and photo. (see photos)  Much more on page 60 with photo. Loads of text. 1st report coverage on largest single anti-war protest in U.S. history. This was the protest that was featured in the movie "Forrest Gump". Nice to have in this famous NYC title.

Other news, sports and advertisements of the day throughout. Complete in 96 pages, minor foxing along central fold, otherwise very nice condition.
